JOSE AQUINO
Jose Aquino was born and raised in the Dominican Republic; he obtained his medical school diploma at Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC). He completed his general surgery training at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College and then pursued plastic surgery training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
With a passion for body contouring, he has gained a reputation for his exceptional skills and transformative results. However, what truly sets Dr. Aquino apart is his unique philosophy surrounding plastic surgery and a wellness lifestyle.

VOLUNTER EXPERIENCE
04/ 2005 - 04/2005 Average Hours/Week: 36 State Secretary of Public Health (SESPAS), Dominican Republic Medical Assistant I participated in a nationwide vaccination campaign, completing the vaccination charts of children and adults that were interrupted or incomplete. My role was to monitor information using standardized protocols to assure that provider vaccine orders were appropriate, to determine the amount of vaccine lost or wasted, to provide technical assistance to providers when problems were identified, and to implement corrective action plans as needed. This was an initiative promoted by the maximum organism in health affairs on the Dominican Republic.
10/ 2006 - 11/2006 Average Hours/Week: 36 State Secretary of Public Health (SESPAS), Dominican Republic Primary care Physician I assisted to this 3-day vaccination campaign organized by the World Health Organization (WHO), with the objective of preventing Measles, Rubella, and others. I was i charge of Analyzing current staff needs, training and workforce development.
10/ 2007 - 11/2007 Average Hours/Week: 64 Red Cross, Dominican Republic Primary care Physician For 21 days I was part of the medical team that offered assistance to refugees, participating in the diverse rescue missions.
07/ 2006 - 11/2007 Average Hours/Week: 56 Firefighting Department of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic Primary Care Physician During my internship at the Department, I was in charge of giving primary care consults and treating clinical emergencies. When on call during the night, we responded to reports of fires and car accidents, giving first aid to those that required it and transporting them to the nearest local hospital. Once a week, we gave educational lectures about medical related topics to the firefighters.
04/ 2008 - 03/2009 Average Hours/Week: 76 Our Lady of Altagracia Regional Hospital, Dominican Republic Primary care Physician This is a small community hospital located in Cotui, Sanchez Ramirez an underserved area of Dominican Republic. In this facility I was a primary physician in an outpatient clinic.
(2/ 2009 - 3/2009) (2/2008-3/2008) (2/2007-3/2007) Average Hours/Week: 86 MACLA, Dominican Republic Surgical Assistant Dr. Douglas Vanderpool (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery/Urology) Medical Aid for Children's of Latin America (MACLA) is a non-profit organization composed of US plastic surgeons that come once a year for two weeks to the Dominican Republic, to provide their services to the underprivileged children of 3rd world countries. During the mission, I participated on the pre op consults and surgical procedures such as: cleft lip and palate reconstruction, scar contracture repairs, hypospadias repair among others. In more detail I was a translator in the first stage of the mission, which was the selection of population that we were going to work with. In a second stage I had the opportunity to be a surgical assistant. At a third stage I was part of the team responsible for the follow up of patients.
